Minister visits Dharla riverbank erosion site in Lalmonirhat amid intense damage

Disaster Management and Relief Minister Asadul Habib Dulu inspected the ongoing riverbank erosion along the Dharla River in Mogolhat Union, Lalmonirhat Sadar, on July 2, 2026. Intense erosion caused by receding floodwaters and upstream flow has resulted in the loss of numerous residential structures and agricultural land, with many more families at risk. Government authorities have deployed geo-bags as a temporary measure to mitigate the damage.
