Death of Shamima Nasrin Jahan after being denied medical care

Shamima Nasrin Jahan, a mentally ill woman, passed away after being denied medical admission at eight different hospitals due to the absence of a national identity card and legal guardians. Despite intervention by an NGO and the Prime Minister's special assistant, she died at the Sher-e-Bangla Nagar hospital, and was initially buried as an unidentified person before her family was found.
