Rising river water levels in Jhalokathi submerge low-lying areas

Heavy monsoon rainfall and high tides have caused water levels to rise in the Sugandha and Bishkhali rivers, flooding over 20 villages across Nalchity, Kanthalia, and Rajapur upazilas in Jhalokathi. The flooding has disrupted communication by submerging local roads and caused significant damage to standing crops and seedbeds.
