7,364 Students Killed in Road Accidents Over Seven and a Half Years (2019-2026)

Road Safety Foundation reported that 7,364 students lost their lives in road accidents between 2019 and June 2026, representing 15.11% of all road fatalities. Motorcycles account for 52% of these deaths (3,841 students). Additionally, 1,237 students died in train-related accidents during the same period. The report highlights lack of sustainable transport policy, reckless driving, and unsafe vehicles as primary contributors.
