Fire at Shekherhat Bazar, Sitakunda

A fire caused by a short circuit at Shekherhat Bazar in Syedpur union, Sitakunda, destroyed six shops, one motorcycle, and several autorickshaws on the night of September 14, 2026. Damage is estimated at approximately 15 lakh BDT. Emergency response was hampered by limited highway access and local traffic congestion.
