Severe Padma River Erosion in Sadarpur, Faridpur: Farmland and Homesteads Vanishing

Severe riverbank erosion along the Padma River is consuming vast areas of farmland, homesteads, and vital infrastructure in the Sadarpur Upazila of Faridpur. Despite the end of the monsoon, intense currents have endangered local markets, schools, and an Ashrayan project. Residents are being forced to relocate, and agricultural crops are being harvested prematurely to prevent loss, as river training works remain stalled.
