Migrant worker dies in Saudi Arabian prison due to AC explosion

Shakil Mia, a 28-year-old Bangladeshi migrant worker from Kishoreganj, died in a Saudi Arabian prison on May 15, 2026. He suffered fatal respiratory distress after an air conditioning unit exploded inside the prison, filling the area with smoke. His remains were repatriated to his home in Maria Union, Kishoreganj Sadar, on June 13, 2026.
