Repatriation of two Bangladeshi workers from Iraq following abuse allegations

Two Bangladeshi workers, Riju Mia and Ailan Mia, were allegedly abused by recruiters in Baghdad. Embassy officials investigated the residential building in Arasat, found no physical evidence of torture, but assisted in their repatriation to Bangladesh on May 7, 2026.
