Private car crash damages power supply line of Karnaphuli Tunnel; vehicle seized

On the night of July 7, 2026, a speeding private car crashed into a decorative wall and a power supply line inside the Karnaphuli Tunnel in Chattogram. The collision damaged approximately 15 feet of the tunnel's decorative wall panels and caused temporary power disruption, which was promptly repaired by authorities. The vehicle involved was seized. No casualties were reported.
