Riverbank Erosion in Chakaria, Cox's Bazar

Heavy rainfall and mountain runoff have triggered severe erosion of the Matamuhuri River in Kochpara, Chakaria. At least 12 homes have been destroyed and 25 others have suffered damage to their yards, forcing many families to relocate to makeshift shelters on the roadside.
