Indefinite closure and labor protests at Lithi Group factory units

Following the indefinite closure of five Lithi Group factory units in Bagher Bazar, Gazipur on July 1, 2026, approximately 2,500 workers were left unemployed. Previously, on June 24, 2026, workers of Fomcom Fashion Ltd, a subsidiary, staged protests regarding unpaid wages after the factory closure began on June 7, 2026.
