Dengue Outbreak and Hospital Overcrowding in Chattogram

A dengue epidemic is ongoing in Chattogram. As of early September 2026, there have been 2,186 total confirmed cases and 6 deaths reported this year. Currently, 180 patients are hospitalized across the district, with Chattogram Medical College Hospital facing significant overcrowding as the number of patients exceeds bed capacity.
