Post-flood rehabilitation is the government's priority in Chakaria, Cox's Bazar

Following nine days of heavy rainfall, mountain runoff, severe flooding, and landslides in Chakaria, Cox's Bazar, significant damage to infrastructure and housing occurred. State Minister Anindya Islam Amit visited the affected areas in Baroitoli union to distribute relief materials to over 100 families. The government has prioritized post-disaster rehabilitation and announced legal action against those involved in illegal hill cutting and creating artificial waterlogging.
