Khatib dies after being hit by a sand-laden truck while riding a motorcycle to the mosque
A 36-year-old Khatib, Mufti Maksud Alam, died in a road accident in the Tota Miar Bazar area of Charbata Union, Subornochar, Noakhali, on the morning of July 1, 2026. He was struck from behind by a speeding sand-laden drum truck while traveling on his motorcycle to lead the Fajr prayer at the Upazila Model Mosque.
