Four members of the Garo ethnic community, including a father and son, died after entering an oxygen-deficient abandoned well/septic tank to rescue a goat kid in Telki Joloi village, Arankhola Union, Madhupur, Tangail, on June 20, 2026. The victims entered the structure one after another, and it is suspected that toxic gases or oxygen deficiency led to their deaths. Fire Service personnel recovered the bodies using oxygen equipment.
