Flash flood and Kushiyara River overflow cause road and embankment collapse in Sunamganj

Persistent rainfall and mountain runoff from the Kushiyara River have led to a road collapse in Jagannathpur, Sunamganj. The river is flowing above danger levels, causing flooding across Asharkandi, Pailgaon, and Raniganj unions. At least 20 villages are affected, including those isolated by road breaches and embankment collapses. Approximately 5,000 residents are affected, with residential homes and a local primary school inundated.
