A magnitude 4.4 earthquake (16 km depth) originated in Rupganj, Narayanganj, on June 22, 2026, and was felt in Dhaka and surrounding areas. While residents in the capital and surrounding areas evacuated their homes due to the tremors, no significant damages or casualties were reported.
