A Royal Cox sleeper coach traveling from Cox's Bazar to Dhaka crashed into a stationary vehicle on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway in Iliotganj, Daudkandi, Cumilla, on August 17, 2026. The collision triggered a fire, likely originating from the gas cylinder, which completely destroyed the bus. All passengers managed to evacuate the vehicle safely in time, and no casualties were reported. The driver and staff fled the scene.
