Jamalpur Express engine separates from carriages in Gafargaon

The engine of the Dhaka-to-Jamalpur bound 'Jamalpur Express' train separated from its carriages near Shahidnagar, Gafargaon, Mymensingh, due to a coupler/hook failure on June 15, 2026. The incident halted rail services on the Dhaka-Mymensingh route for two hours. No casualties were reported.
