Protest in Rajibpur for a permanent embankment to prevent Brahmaputra river erosion

Residents of Rajibpur Upazila in Kurigram organized a human chain and rally demanding a permanent embankment along the Brahmaputra River to combat chronic erosion. The erosion impacts thousands, with approximately 5,000 families displaced annually and 6,000 families forced into city slums over the last five years due to the loss of their homes and livelihoods.
