Anthrax outbreak following the slaughter of an infected cow in Sundarganj

At least 24 people in Purbo Bachahati village of Sundarganj, Gaibandha, have developed symptoms of anthrax after slaughtering and processing an infected cow on September 11, 2026. The victims are currently receiving treatment at the Sundarganj Upazila Health Complex, with three individuals reported to be in critical condition.
