Sonahat Bailey bridge deck collapses in Bhurungamari, traffic halted

An overloaded brick-laden truck caused the collapse of a deck on the Sonahat Bailey bridge in Bhurungamari, Kurigram, on Tuesday morning. The incident has halted all vehicle movement across the bridge, disrupting local transportation, commerce, and the local weekly cattle market. Authorities report the truck was carrying 39 tonnes, well over the bridge's 10-tonne weight capacity.
