Chairman Ghat in Hatiya under threat of riverbank erosion

The Chairman Ghat, a major fish landing center in Hatiya, Noakhali, is facing severe riverbank erosion from the Meghna river. Over 1,000 businesses and local livelihoods are at risk as 10-15 shops have already been displaced and the main market is under threat.
