Two killed and 20 injured in a bus-private car collision in Gopalganj

On September 23, 2026, a Dola Paribahan bus collided with a private car on the Dhaka-Khulna highway in Shibgati, Kashiani, Gopalganj, causing the car to be crushed and the bus to plunge into a roadside ditch. Two private car passengers were killed, and at least 20 passengers from both vehicles sustained injuries. Local residents and Bhanga Highway Police assisted in the rescue, and the injured were transported to hospitals in Kashiani, Gopalganj, and Faridpur for medical treatment.
