Boatman killed following lightning strike in Rangabali, Patuakhali
A 28-year-old boatman named Rubel Howlader died after falling from a trawler into the Rabanabad channel near the Payra Sea Port during a lightning strike on July 13, 2026. His body was recovered two days later near Char Gangamati in Kuakata. Three other fishermen on the same trawler were injured during the incident.
