Passengers travel in life-threatening conditions during Eid rush

During the Eid holiday rush on May 26, 2026, severe overcrowding was observed at Kamalapur and Airport railway stations in Dhaka. Passengers were forced to travel on train roofs and cling to carriage doors on several intercity trains, including the Bonolata, Nilsagar, and Ekota Express, due to high demand and lack of available tickets.
