Two sisters, Niha Akter (7) and Noha Akter (3), drowned in a pond in Paboi village, Mohanganj, Netrokona, on June 19, 2026, while their family was occupied with a wedding ceremony. Local residents recovered them and transported them to the Mohanganj Upazila Health Complex, where they were declared dead.
