Engine fire of 'Bijoy Express' at Atharabari station, Ishwarganj, Mymensingh

A fire broke out in the engine of the 'Bijoy Express' train upon its arrival at Atharabari railway station in Ishwarganj, Mymensingh, on the evening of June 15, 2026. The incident caused the engine to fail and disrupted train services on the route for four hours. Rail communication was eventually restored after a rescue train arrived from Mymensingh to clear the track.
