Mother and son died from electrocution while repairing home wiring in Dewanganj, grandmother injured

On September 1, 2026, 14-year-old Raju Mia was electrocuted while attempting to repair a faulty electrical connection in his home in the Chulkanibil old rail line area, Balugram, Dewanganj, Jamalpur. His mother, Lucky Akter (37), died while trying to save him, and his grandmother, Buli Begum, sustained serious injuries during the same attempt and is receiving hospital treatment.
