Public health emergency due to lack of emergency transport in Teesta chars

Residents of the Teesta char areas in Gangachara Upazila, Rangpur, face a critical public health crisis due to the lack of emergency transportation. Patients, including pregnant women and the elderly, are forced to be carried on shoulders to reach hospitals, leading to preventable deaths. A memorandum has been submitted to the Upazila Nirbahi Officer demanding the deployment of government speedboats.
