Riverbank erosion in Chouhali, Sirajganj due to bulkhead movement

Riverbank erosion has intensified at Jotpara in Chouhali, Sirajganj, caused by the continuous movement of sand-laden bulkheads near the shore. This activity has threatened a multi-crore embankment, over five hundred homesteads, agricultural land, and local public infrastructure across Baghutia and Khaspukuria unions. Local police and the Assistant Commissioner (Land) have intervened to halt the movement of these vessels to prevent further collapse of protective geo-bags.
