Record rainfall in Mymensingh leads to severe urban waterlogging

Following a record 174mm of rainfall over eight and a half hours, Mymensingh city experienced severe waterlogging that disrupted daily life, caused water ingress into homes, and delayed emergency services like ambulances. Residents and local experts attributed the crisis to poor drainage management, canal encroachment, and delayed city infrastructure projects.
