Critically ill elderly woman transported via speedboat across rough seas due to lack of medical facilities

An 80-year-old critically ill woman was transported from Sandwip to Chattogram in a regular speedboat through rough seas and heavy rain after failing to access emergency medical transport. The local sea ambulances have been non-functional for years, forcing the patient's family to take this dangerous route. She is currently undergoing treatment in a private hospital ICU in Chattogram.
